Master Category

This document helps you to understand the steps to add master category in the Strackit Business for your ecommerce website. In this page, you will understand the following details

How to add new master category
Navigate to Menu -> Ecommerce -> Master Category
Refer above image to navigate to the master category. If there are any categories added already, that will be listed in the page
Click on the “Add Master Category” button in the top right corner to start adding the master category for your ecommerce website.
You can see a popup like this, to add a master category. Input the name of the category in the input box and click on the Add button. New master category will be added for your ecommerce website.
How to add / update image for the master category
In the master category page, under the image column, if the image is already uploaded, the uploaded image will be displayed. On the other hand, if there is no image updated, you can see the ‘+’ button to update the new image.
With the help of the image column, you can either upload a new image or the image will be replaced if you upload it again.
How to edit the master category
If you click on the edit button on the right side of the category, it will show the popup to edit the name, status and position of the master category.
You can change the name and click on the save button to change the name of the category.
How to change the position of the master category
If you click on the edit button on the right side of the category, it will show the popup to edit the name, status and position of the master category.
Update the position with the numeric value to change the order of the master category. Minimum value will be displayed first and the maximum value will be displayed last. For example, position with value 1 will be displayed first, and the position with the value 2 will be displayed next.
How to deactivate the master category
If you click on the edit button on the right side of the category, it will show the popup to edit the name, status and position of the master category.
There is drop down below name, and left to the position. If you choose the dropdown value as 1, category will be displayed in your ecommerce website. If you choose 0, then the category will not be displayed in your ecommerce website.
Don’t forget to save after you make changes.
