Categorization

Categorization is used in the Ecommerce websites to help users eaily navigate and find the product they are looking for. Strackit Business supports two level of categorization which is called master category and secondary category.

Product will be mapped with secondary category and, the secondary category will be mapped to the master category.

For example, Let’s say you are owning the textile business and you want to categorise your products. Let’s have a look how the similar business Ajio categorised their products.

If you the above image, they have the master category of Men, Women, Kids, Beauty, Home and Kitchen.

If user chooses, any of the master category, the child level or sub set of the master category is displayed. In the above image, when the user selects women, it is showing the options like Ethnic Wear, Jewellery, Footwear, Accessories and more.

Let’s take one more example of a furniture store – Pepperfry to understand more about the categorisation

With reference to the above image, we can see they have categorised their master category as, Furniture, Sofas, Mattresses, Home Decor, Furnishings and more.

If we check the secondary category or sub category of Sofas, we can see the categories as Sofas, Sofa sets, Sectional Sofas, Sofa cum beds, Recliners and more.
